I'm Yael N. Lazar, Esq. I'm an attorney, entrepreneur, author, mother of three daughters, and now the founder of EMBER. For more than 30 years I've worked in tax, estate planning and real estate where I served my clients by solving complex tax problems, protecting their families and what they've built. I structured businesses and advised my clients in a way that resulted in better decisions about their money and assets that they had worked hard to build. My career has included everything from IRS controversy and business strategy to estate planning and wealth preservation. I've written books, spoken around the country and appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. But EMBER grew from something more personal. As successful as I was professionally, my own journey forced me to question what success, security and freedom actually meant to me. I began recognizing how much of my of life had been shaped by old beliefs about achievement, responsibility, money and what I thought I was supposed to do. At 56, I decided I wasn't finished becoming. I founded EMBER because I wanted to create the kind of space I wish more women had: a place where we can be accomplished and still want more, change our minds, question what we've been taught, become beginners again, build wealth, have fun, and create a next chapter that actually belongs to us.
